The New Force in Marine PropulsionGOSPORT, HAMPSHIRE UK - RingProp PLC announced new models of the company's
innovative ringed propeller for Mercury, Yamaha and Honda outboards from
70 to 115 HP at the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) 2005
in Las Vegas, July 20-22.
In addition to the propellers being introduced at MAATS, the RingProp
is also available for 25 HP Mercury and 40-60 HP Mercury and Honda outboard
motors. "We continue to make steady progress toward our goal of having
a range of ringed propellers for the most common outboards available to
US boaters in time for the 2006 boating season," said RingProp PLC
CEO Gary Mullins. Additional models for both higher and lower horsepower
outboards - as well as stainless steel models - will be released throughout
the remainder of 2005 and early in 2006.
RingProp's patented design for outboard motors is a cost-effective response
to growing concern about the safety and environmental impact of conventional,
open-blade propellers.
The integral ring around the blades offers a safer approach with no exposed
blade tips. The unique ring ensures durability and strength and combats
the fouling of ropes. The hydrodynamic design of the aluminum ring and blades
provides increased thrust and reduces torque steer and ventilation, resulting
in superior boat handling and maneuverability, while maintaining rapid acceleration.
