LIFT LUGGER

LIFT LUGGER MAKES LIGHT WORK OF MOVING BOAT LIFTS

Dragging a boat lift in and out of the water each season can be an aggravating and time- consuming process. Lift Lugger minimizes this frustrating task by changing the way boaters install and remove their lifts.

The versatile Lift Lugger works with both vertical and cantilever lifts. It consists of four puncture-resistant flotation barrels, an adjustable chain and four extruded aluminum cable-through brackets with precisionmachined pulleys. Four 3/8" bolts permanently attach the brackets to the lift frame. An adjustable chain wraps around the hoist platform and secures it with a 1/4" quick link. Another 1/4" quick link connects a 2" web strap through each barrel to the cable. Each flotation barrel provides 280 pounds of assistance, allowing an 800-pound lift to be moved effortlessly.

Utilizing the cable and pulley systems and a flotation barrel at each corner, Lift Lugger uses the action of the hoist to raise the lift. As the hoist rises, the barrels descend, creating a strong upward floating force. When the frame comes to the surface, the entire lift is supported by the strength of the barrels for easy moving. Once the lift is in place, lowering the hoist brings the barrels back to the surface.

Made of high-density polyethylene blow-molded plastic, the fluorescent orange barrels can then be used as buoy markers by attaching them to a weighted anchor rope. For boater convenience, the chain and cable assembly can remain attached to the bracket until it's time to haul the lift.

Lift Lugger retails for $595.
