Introduction to Wells
Daily Fishing Forecast >>>
Below is an example of how to interpret
the Wells Daily Fishing Forecast tables. Note: Many things can upset tide and current tables. Cold fronts,
thunder storms, winds, etc. can all impact the predicted times of tide
height and current movement and strength.
Sat - July
19 - Saturday morming has a Very Strong incoming
current that ends in the morning. This current will start moving baitfish
to the shorelines and into back bays and sloughs a couple of hours before
dawn. The current will be effective in keeping baitfish on the move until
late morning.
The next current will begin later
in the afternoon and is Outgoing and rated Very Weak. Even though this
current is weak and short lasting, it should still provide the better fishing
opportunity of the afternoon. A good place to position for this type of
current is near the mouths of sloughs/bayous that drain marshes.
////
(Winds, barometric pressure,
weather changes and myriads of other factors, including hurricanes and
tropical strorms, can change current predictions...) |
